Rose Marie (Baker) Neuman

Rose “Granny” passed away with her grandchildren by her side at the Sunset Haven in Carnduff on Thursday, February 22, 2024. Granny is survived by her grandchildren Bobby-Jo (Steve) Orosz of Minitonas, MB, and Darryl (Lindsey) Hanson of Saskatoon, SK; great-grandchildren Mathew (Tayah), Ethan, Riley, and Savannah Orosz, Kelsie and Carter Hanson; great-great-grandchildren Ashlynn and Paislee Orosz; son-in-law Lloyd Hanson; sisters-in-law Sarah Baker and Freda Krupka; brother-in-law Otto Neuman; special friends Natasha Bevan and family and Ruth Wilcott and family; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Rose was predeceased by her husband Walter Neuman; daughter Bertha Hanson; great-grandson Dylan Orosz; sisters Maxine Brethour and Violet Stewart; and brother Eugene Baker.
Rose, best known by many as Granny, loved her time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed sewing them pjs and quilts. She also enjoyed baking, canning, gardening and her flowers. She loved her many trips to Minitonas to see Bobby-Jo and her family, going to watch Kelsie figure skate and graduate high school, and watching Carter play hockey and lacrosse. She looked forward to her Friday lunch dates with Ruth that sometimes involved some shopping or cleaning.
In keeping with Rose's wishes, a formal funeral service will not be held.
