Archie (Art) Kurtz

Mr. Art Kurtz of Melita, MB. passed away at the Virden Health Centre, Virden, MB. on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at the age of 82.

Art is survived by his wife of 55 years, Marilyn (Snyder) Kurtz; two sons, Darcy (Trudy) Kurtz of Melita (their two daughters, Katelyn (Mitchell) McPherson (children, Norah and William), and Taylor) and Rodney Kurtz of Grande Prairie, AB.; daughter, Jo-Ann Gibson of Melita (her children, April, Roger, and Julie); brothers, Walter, Danny (Delores), and Elmer (Armande); sisters, Ruth (Fred) Robinson, and Freda (Marcel) Arsenault; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and two special grand-dogs, Dom and Winnie.

He was predeceased by his parents, Fred and Margaret (Klassen) Kurtz; in-laws, Mervin and Renee Snyder; brother, Wilfred; sisters, Emily Arsenault, and Lily Mee; brothers-in-law, Ivan Arsenault, and Clayton Mee; sisters-in-law, Marilyn Snyder, and Helen Kurtz.

The funeral service for Art was held at the Victoria United Church, Melita, MB. on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Evan Asselstine officiating. The interment followed at the Coultervale Cemetery.
