David Roy MacPherson passed away suddenly on Saturday, June 1, 2019 after a morning doing what he loved; getting his cow/calf pairs ready for the pasture. He died with his boots on, just as he wished.
David was born on September 16, 1946 in Pierson, Manitoba. He was the only son of William Fulton MacPherson and Martha Alice (Saar) MacPherson. He lived and ranched in the Ashgrove District his entire life and loved what he did. He took great pride in his family, his land and his cattle.
David will be forever loved and missed by his wife, Penny; daughters, Jillian and Gina; and his beloved horses.
At David's request there will be no funeral service.
Friends wishing to honour his life can make a donation in his memory to the Gainsborough Black Gold Rodeo Committee or the Carievale Skating Rink. He was an avid sports fan and particularly enjoyed rodeo, hockey, figure skating and ten end curling.
