Mrs. Devona Shannon of Deloraine and formerly of Melita, passed away at the Bren Del Win Lodge, Deloraine, on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at the age of 86.
She was predeceased by her son, Matthew Shannon; grandson, Dallas Shannon; parents, Oscar & Gertie Christianson; in-laws, William & Lila Shannon; two brothers, Archie (Lorraine) Christianson and Lavern (Laverne) Christianson; sister, Dorothy (Don McRae) (Albert Pratt).
Devona is survived by her husband, Jack; seven children: Darryl (Wendy) Shannon, Eunice (Larry) Currie, Frank (Shirley) Shannon, Wanda (Terry) Currie, Sheila (Brian) Boulton, Chris (Penny) Shannon, and Arlene Lew; nineteen grandchildren and thirty-one great-grandchildren; sister, Marie Eldred.
The Funeral Service for Devona was held at the Victoria United Church, Melita, on Monday, February 18, 2019 at 2:00pm. Reverend Chris Davis officiated. Burial took place at the Melita Cemetery.
