Leone took great pride in the house they designed. Family was very important to Leone. She loved having their grandkids visit and for sleepovers. Leone was a great cook and baker. She would always have a meal ready to offer, no matter how many showed up on their doorstep or when, and there was always a pot of homemade soup ready to serve. Her hobbies included gardening, walking, and reading, and she wrote daily in her journal. Leone and Bud travelled extensively throughout Canada and the U.S., including several cruises and trips to Hawaii with friends. In 1992, they began taking their motorhome to Florida and eventually spent January to March there every year until 2011. They made many friends on their travels.
