I was so sorry to learn of John's passing from my/our cousin Calvin Boscow. I have very fond memories of John while I spent my summers at Renee and Mervin's farm in my younger years.. Especially "wing dings" around the bonfires, jokes, lots of laughter. I last saw John when my son and I visited Melita in early September 2016 and also with my brother in May of 2014.
My condolences to Donna and family at this difficult time. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

John was a true light in this world. He was especially dear to his sister, Bonnie, and her late husband Fred. John never failed to make them laugh and to bring joy to everyone around him. Bonnie and Fred would talk of John's stories and jokes for months after a visit with him. He was also admired from afar (out here in Calgary) for the solid values he imparted and the upstanding nature of his character. He held true to lessons passed on through his own father and mother. It can truly be said that John was the salt of the earth. We know he was dearly, dearly loved and will truly be missed and we are among those who mourn his loss.
