The heart hurts after hearing the news of Larry's passing. My memories of Larry are mostly from his days at Tundra where he practically took me under his wing. Many stories told and laughs made in those years. We're sorry to hear the news and our thoughts are with you Cheryl and family.

Dear Cheryl,
I heard the devastating news from Holly. My heart breaks for you. I am so sorry. Larry was a very special guy and I know he was always his Uncle Harry’s favourite.
The last time I saw Larry I was at a funeral in Glenboro. Ted had just been diagnosed and I was going through chemo. Cancer sucks but at least you have awhile to say goodbye. Heart attacks don’t always allow for goodbyes. I hope you had a chance.
At that funeral, I think it was Isabelle’s, Larry was very kind to me. I have always thought of his last words to me and the words meant so much. He told me I had to get better because so many people cared about me. It worked. I got better against all odds.
So I am writing you to tell you how much I care that you are now without him. He will leave a big whole.

My sincerest sympathies are extended to Larry's family. I knew Larry through Brooklyn as he came to every fiddle concert, dance and house concert we were involved in. Although I didn't know him well he was always so friendly and kind every time I met him. He was one of those people that just made you feel good. A real angel here on earth! So sorry for your loss.

I'm very sad to learn of Larry's passing. I learned a lot about life and work from him. He was a great mentor and really helped me grow into adulthood. He had powerful energy and it was a lot of fun to know and spend time with him. Life can be too short - my thoughts are with his family at this time.
