Lillian “Tiny” Rose (Gustafson) Wilson

March 17, 1932 ~ April 26, 2019 (age 87) 87 Years Old

Mrs. Lillian “Tiny” Rose Wilson, 87, passed away at the Sunset Haven, Carnduff, SK. on Friday, April 26, 2019.

Tiny (Lillian) Gustafson was born on March 17, 1932 at the Harbottle farm in Gainsborough, SK. to Frank and Demie Gustafson. She grew up on the farm with her mom, dad, and sister, Helen in a mud house that her dad built. She spent a lot of time loving and caring for her animals. Many of them ended up in “Tiny’s Hospital.” She loved horses as well and learned to ride.

She attended school in the Ingolsby School District and enjoyed all subjects. She also loved sports and excelled at track and field, winning a few ribbons. She also loved to draw and was quite good at it.

On December 23, 1950 she married Jack Wilson from Carievale, SK. They spent a few years moving around the southeast while Jack was working in the oilfield. In 1962, they moved to the farm south of Storthoaks where Frank and Demie were living in the mud house. Farming now became a big part of Jack and Tiny’s life as well as raising their family. They also raised cattle, horses, pigs, chickens, and farmed the land. Tiny also loved her flowers, plants and garden.

In 1979, they bought a house in Carnduff, SK. but continued to farm the land at Storthoaks. Many trips were made back and forth on the highway.

Tiny was predeceased by her husband, John Thomas Wilson; parents, Frank & Demie (Semcoe) Gustafson; sister, Helen (Reg) Barber; brothers-in-law, Alan Fowler; Jim Wilson, Walter Senchuk; sisters-in-law, Norma (Charlie) Spencer and Ethel (Harold) Shanks; in-laws, Harold and Stella Wilson; great niece, April Shanks; great nephew, Preston Meyer; nephews, Glenn Spencer and Kent Fowler.

She is survived by her two daughters, Lorna Wilson of Winnipeg (son, Tyrone Martin), Pam Fenrick (Brian Ruecker) of Pense, SK. and sons, Chad (Bonnie) Fenrick (children, Teegan & Kolbi), and Craig Fenrick; son, Eric Wilson of Carnduff.
