Lou Hamm (Rodenbush) passed away peacefully on September 10, 2009 at the age of 93 years. She was a resident of Sunset Haven, Carnduff, SK., but a long time resident of Glen Ewen and the Oxbow district.
Lou was born to John & Fannie Blackport in Lanigan, SK., on August 21, 1916. She married Carl Rodenbush and they raised 3 daughters.
She was predeceased by Carl, her second husband Jack Hamm, son-in-law Bill Barclay, daughter and son-in-law Donna and Grant Mohagen, and son-in-law Murray Boe.
Lou leaves to mourn and remember her dearly, her daughter Bonnie Boe (Barclay), 100 Mile House B.C., Peggy (Norm) Bonk, Edmonton, Alberta, 5 grandchildren, Charmaine Boe, Carla (Matt) Fuller, Paula (Brian) Derby, Keri (Jason) Dolynchuk and Chad (Paula) Bonk; 3 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild, also many friends and loved ones.
We as a family have been handed down her ever loved receipes, that she enjoyed making and we so much enjoyed eating! She loved her garden and also was a very talented seamstress. She loved to knit and crochet of which we all have enjoyed the beautiful product of. Her home was always open to all who came, to enjoy a coffee, visit, or a wonderful meal of goodies from her garden.
We will miss you Mom and Grandma, but we know that you are with your Lord and Savior! Cremation has taken place. A memorial gathering will be at a later date.
