Mrs. Margaret Browton of Melita and formerly of Pierson, passed away at the Melita PCH on Sunday, March 25, 2018 at the age of 99.
She was predeceased by her parents, James & Harriet (Dewing) Duncombe; husband, Gus; granddaughter, Christine Browton; great grandson, Chase Mayes; four brothers, James (Vi) Duncombe, Doug (Norma) Duncombe, John Duncombe, Richard Duncombe; two sisters, Kathleen (Johnny) McLean and Marion (Jimmy) Purves; five brothers-in-law, Albert Widenmaier, Archie Thompson, Frank Jaskow, Arthur (Joan) Browton, and Harry (Gladys) Browton.
Margaret is survived by her son, Raymond (Dorothy) Browton of Vancouver; their children Colin Browton of Vancouver and Caroline (Mark) Rivard (Owen and Joel) of Winnipeg; daughter, Diane (Ron) Mayes of Pierson; their children, Troy (Rebecca) Mayes (Ron and Sadie) of Pierson and Darren Mayes (Justin, Jessica, and Joy) of Pierson; three sisters, Mona Widenmaier, Phyliss Thompson, and Jean Jaskow; and sister-in-law, Barb Duncombe.
A funeral service for Margaret was held at the Pierson United Church, Pierson, MB. on Monday, July 2, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. with (rev.) Heather Sandilands officiating.
