With heavy hearts, the family of Muriel Mitchell announces her sudden passing on Thursday, March 1, 2018, age 89, at her residence in Regina.
Muriel was born in Lloydminster, SK., on July 6, 1928, to Fred and Josie Amos.
She married Hugh Mitchell on November 7, 1947, and raised two daughters, Marj and Norma. Muriel and Hugh lived in the Glen Ewen district until Hugh’s passing in 2008. In 2009 Muriel moved to Regina to be closer to family.
Muriel is survived by her daughter, Norma (Sam) Bachorick; granddaughter, Jodi; grandson, Shawn (Shannon); great-grandson, Callum; sister-in-law, Joyce Amos; also numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents, Fred and Josie Amos; husband, Hugh; daughter, Marj; brother, Keith Amos; sisters-in-law, Doreen (Harold) Maxwell and Elda (Tom) Maxwell; nieces, Judy Ruckaber and Kathy Avery.
A Funeral Service for Muriel was held on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 2:00 pm from the St. Andrew’s United Church, Carnduff, SK. Reverend Susan Reed officiated. A private family burial will took place at the Glen Ewen Cemetery, prior to the Funeral Service.
