I am saddened to hear of my old friend Ralph's passing. I knew him from my Manitoba Museum days in the 1970s when Ralph often prepared beautifully mounted bird specimens for display and research. Years later he presented the Oak Hammock Marsh Interpretive Center with his remarkable collection of mounted waterfowl, which will be used for teaching wildlife conservation for many decades to come. We also served together on the Manitoba Government Endangered Species Advisory Committee. He was a wonderful, gentle person, and a real pleasure to know.
