Mrs. Verla Stevenson of Carnduff, passed away at the Galloway Health Centre, Oxbow, SK. on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at the age of 85.
Verla is survived by her four children: Harvey (Debbie) (their daughter, Jaclyn; son, Mike (Krista) Caprice, Tegan, Ashton, and Avery), Dallas (Roma) (their daughter, Rhonda (Greg), Harry (Linda) (their daughter, Amanda (Mark) JJ, Jackson and Addy; son, James), and Marilyn (Clayton) (their daughter, Christine Kendall and Hailey; son, Steven (Melissa) and daughter, Nicole); grandson-in-law, Randy Kendall; brother, Bob (Gilda) Swayze; sister, Gay (Gary) Steeves; also numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that were close to her heart.
She was predeceased by her husband, Bob; two children, Earl and baby boy in infancy; parents, Earl and Linda (Adams) Swayze; siblings, Della (Ralph) Fairbairn, Harry (Janny) Swayze, and Orville Swayze; parents-in-law, Tom and Etta Stevenson; sister-in-law, Marjorie (Alfonso) Lopez; brother-in-law, Morris (Shirley) Stevenson; nephews, Ken Stevenson, Russel Swayze, Harry Swayze, and Dwayne Steeves.
A service to celebrate Verla's life was held at the St. Andrew's United Church Christian Education Hall on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at 2:00pm. Reverend Susan Reed officiated. Interment will take place at the Workman Cemetery at a later date.
