Mr. Bill Taylor of Carnduff, SK. passed away at the Sunset Haven on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at the age of 94.
William “Bill” Taylor was born on June 8, 1923. He attended Oakley School and took his high school subjects by correspondence. In November of 1945, he married Estella Munro. In 1949, they were blessed with their only child Robert. Bill and Estella farmed until retirement in 2001, when they moved into Carnduff. They celebrated their 72nd wedding anniversary on November 12, 2017. Bill’s greatest joys came from his granddaughters, Angela and Cara, and his great-grandchildren, Kaiden, Alaina, Briza and Hailey. His favourite times were spent sitting around the kitchen table having breakfast when all the kids were home. Bill’s failing health forced him to move to Sunset Haven on December 15, 2017.
Bill is survived by his wife Estella; son, Robert (Colleen); granddaughters, Angela Taylor (Jason Sabados) (children, Hailey Taylor, Bryce Sabados and Branden Sabados) and Cara (Evan) Zacharias (children, Kaiden, Alaina, and Briza Zacharias); sister, Audrey Sutherby; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Edith Taylor; brother, Roy; sisters, Eva and Marj; in-laws: James and Esther Munro, Nick Munro, Ruby Brown, Evelyn Smith and John Jones.
A Public Memorial Gathering for Bill will be held at the C.E. Hall (St. Andrew's United Church) on Monday, May 28, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Kathy Kyle officiating. A time of lunch and visiting will follow. All are welcome to attend.
