Allan Spearing Obituary
Mr. Allan Spearing, a longtime resident of the Oxbow area, passed away peacefully at the Galloway Health Centre on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at the age of 93.
Allan is survived by his 2 sons: Larry (Wayne) of Calgary, Glen of Bentley and daughter Sherry (Ross) of Oxbow; 11 grandchildren: Meghan (Tyler), Logan (April), Nick (Chelsie), Eric (Tara), Trevor, Dallas (Angela), Jessica (Riley), Orie, Owen (Nolan), Dustin (Michelle) and Jillian (Brendan). He is also survived by the 19 great-grandchildren: Shaye, Faryn, William, Fallyn, Mason, Rhea, Logan, Rowyn, Braxton, Laikynn, Samantha, Nicole, Lucas, Carson, Jenayva, Kyson, Braxon, Patrick and Wesley; brother Ken (Terry), sister Isobelle, sisters-in-law Lois, Marlene, and Betty, brothers-in-law Roy and Bob (Mickey); also numerous nephews and nieces.
Allan was predeceased by his parents Harold and Minnie; his loving wife Mavis; brothers Dale and William; sisters-in-law Francis, Bettina, Beverly, Jean and Valerie; brothers-in-law Alfred, Ronald, Stan, and David; daughter-in-law Patty.
A graveside service for Allan was held at the Oxbow Cemetery on Father's Day, June 16, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. with Mrs. Sandy Dalziel officiating.
