Catherine Eisthen Obituary

It is with profound sadness the family of Catherine Eisthen announce her peaceful passing at the Melita Health Centre, Melita, MB. on Thursday, July 17, 2025 at the age of 91.

Catherine is survived by two daughters, Barb (Ian) Craven and Linda (Mike) Dean; son, Terry Eisthen (Tina Varner); the late Gordon Swanson’s children, Carl Swanson (Karen) and Diane Swanson; grandchildren, Curtis (Patti) Craven (their children Alexa, Karson and Jenna), and Emma and Owen Eisthen; sister-in-law, Phyllis Sones; and many loving nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Alex Eisthen; grandson, Dustin Craven; son-in-law, Frank Anton; special partner, Gordon Swanson; parents, Bill and Edith Cooper; three sisters, Irene, Annabell and Williamene and their spouses.

The funeral service for Catherine was held at the Tilston Community Hall, Tilston, MB. on Monday, July 21, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. The interment followed at the Tilston Cemetery.
