Mrs. Donna "Leone" (Berry) Dancey of Carnduff passed away at the Sunset Haven on Good Friday, April 19, 2019 at the age of 86.

She was predeceased by husband, Floyd "Bud"; sisters, Muriel and Helen and their spouses Louis and Les; brother, Bill; sister-in-law, Barb; parents, Maurice and Evelyn Berry; sister-in-law, Edith and her husband Henry.

Leone is survived by, and will be greatly missed by her four children: Sharon (Bill) Hubbard and their children, Michael (his daughter, Teanna), Lee (Thalia), and Erin (Trent) (children, Logan, Hannah, and Emma); Cheryl (Dick) Milton and their son, Rory (Lindsay) (children, Ashtyn and Cooper); Barb (Terry) Hendrickson and their children, Jay, Kristen (Jon), Rhagen, and Jody (Craig) (children, Lincoln and Birkleigh); Rick (Margarite) Dancey and their children, Stephanie (David), Stacey (Joel), and Samantha (Cody); brother, Leroy (Jennifer) Berry; numerous nieces and nephews.

Leone was born on June 16, 1932 near Quill Lake, SK. Her family moved between Saskatchewan and Ontario several times. As a teenager in Ontario, she worked at a grocery store, a dry cleaners, then at Bell Telephone, along with her sister Helen. In 1952 Leone, her parents, and her brother Leroy moved back to SK., where Leone met Bud and they married in February 1953. For many years, summer weekends were spent at their cabin at White Bear Lake, often filled with music and friends. Leone and Bud moved into Carnduff from the farm in 1991. Leone took great pride in the house they designed. Family was very important to Leone. She loved having their grandkids visit and for sleepovers. Leone was a great cook and baker. She would always have a meal ready to offer, no matter how many showed up on their doorstep or when, and there was always a pot of homemade soup ready to serve. Her hobbies included gardening, walking, and reading, and she wrote daily in her journal. Leone and Bud travelled extensively throughout Canada and the U.S., including several cruises and trips to Hawaii with friends. In 1992, they began taking their motorhome to Florida and eventually spent January to March there every year until 2011. They made many friends on their travels. Leone also travelled to China, Europe, and England with her sister Muriel. She loved country and bluegrass music and she and Bud enjoyed many bluegrass shows in Florida.

The funeral service for Leone will be held at St. Andrew's United Church, Carnduff, SK. on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Susan Reed officiating. The interment will follow at the Carnduff Cemetery.
