Doreen died peacefully at the age of 100 on Good Friday, April 3, 2026 at the Sunset Haven in Carnduff.
She was predeceased by her parents, Walter and Gwen Plews; husband, Earl Verity and brothers, Al and Jack Plews.
She is survived by sisters, Joyce Verity and Wilma Plews; daughter, Laura Verity; sons, Al (Dianne) and Garth Verity; three granddaughters, Tiffany Monckton, Jeneva Duff and Nicole Dunne.
Doreen was born and raised on the family farm in the Goshen School District southwest of Carnduff. As the oldest child she helped her dad in the field and her mother in the house. She graduated from Carnduff school and moved to Winnipeg where she studied and worked for several years.
Upon returning home she worked at a bank and married Earl. They settled in the Florence School District southwest of Carnduff and later they moved into town. Doreen spent many of her later years being cared for by the staff at Border-Line Housing (Sunset Haven).
Doreen maintained a lovely yard and was an avid gardener. She travelled to various places abroad and enjoyed entertaining visitors who came to Carnduff.
A service for Doreen will be held at a later date.
