Douglas Barker Obituary

On Tuesday, February 4, 2025 Douglas Lorne Barker passed away at the Seven Oaks long term care home in Scarborough, ON. He was in his 91st year. 

He was the youngest child of George Washington Barker and Mary Ann Johnson of Oxbow, SK. 

He is predeceased by his parents, brothers and sisters and his middle son Douglas Jr. He will be dearly missed by his wife Marilyn and sons Dan (Donna), David (Stacey), grandchildren Corey, Cole (Michala), Chris, Jessie and great grandson Benny. As well as, his stepchildren, Darlene (Michael) and Rob (Rebecca), grandchildren Riley and Kaylib. 

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025 with Visitation from 12:30 - 1:30pm and then the Funeral at 1:30pm followed by fellowship at the Church of the Village (Shepherd Village, 3760 Sheppard Ave. E., Scarborough, ON.) Pastor Colin McCartney of Good Shepherd Community Church will officiate. 

The family greatly appreciates the wonderful care of the staff of Seven Oaks, and the spiritual life team of Shepherd Village.
