Mr. Edwin Freitag of Alameda passed away at the Galloway Health Centre, Oxbow on Sunday, July 14, 2019 at the age of 84.
He was predeceased by his parents, Rudolf and Maria Freitag; five siblings, Henry, Emma, Paul, Leo and Kuno Freitag; two sisters-in-law, Marilyn Freitag and Irene Freitag; one brother-in-law, Walter Wykes.
Eddie is survived by his wife of 57 years, Roberta; three sons, Alan (Susan), Andy (Penni) and Aaron (Krissy); five grandchildren, Brennan (Stephanie), Brooklyn, Keenan, Hannah and Owen Freitag; two step-grandchildren, Austin (Ashley) and Clayton (Baili) Nettleship; one great-grandchild, Moxie Lou; six siblings, Hugo (Agnes) Freitag, Hubert (Audrey) Freitag, Lilly (Edgar) Biberdorf, Willie (Darlene) Freitag, Melvin (Bonnie) Freitag and Gary (Cheryl) Freitag; one sister-in-law, Becky Wykes; numerous loved nieces and nephews.
The funeral service was held at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Oxbow on Friday, July 19, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Jason Schultz officiating. The interment took place at the Alameda Cemetery.
