Mrs. Esther Erick passed away peacefully at the Gainsborough & Area Health Centre, Gainsborough, SK. on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at the age of 91.
Esther is survived by her four children: Rick (Carrie) of Oxbow (children, Nathan (Emily), Riley (Nikki) and Tyson), Tim (Susan) of Taber, AB. (children, Jordon (Angela), Robin (Chris) and Matthew), Tony (Lori) of Alabama (children, Ashley (Tim), Matana (Nathan), Austin (Kierra) and Cason), and Ann (Bob) Betts of Lake Metigoshe (children, Justin, Kyle (Melissa) and Kelsey); sixteen great-grandchildren: Jake, AVA, Jack, Alyssa, Ryan, Kaydence, Kenzie, Laiklyn, Mila, Brooke, Lainey, Destiny, Teagan, Rylan, Lachlan and Jaxon; brothers, William (Lorraine) Janke of BC and Edwin (Liz) Janke of Nova Scotia; sister-in-law, Grace Janke of Oxbow.
She was predeceased by her husband, Nick Erick in 2009; daughters, Celestine and Marianne; grandson, Blake Betts; brothers, Ed and Hank Janke; sisters, Mable (Ivan) Olson and Emma (Dave) Ward; nephew, Twaine Janke.
A funeral service for Esther took place from St. Peter Lutheran Church, Oxbow, SK. on Friday, May 12, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Adrian Kramer officiating. The interment followed at the Oxbow Cemetery.
