I was in Montmartre when Eugene was in Candiac with SWP. I curled with him and his family at Glenavon one winter. I think we won a few games! We would play some card games and have lunch at their place after our games. It was fun. Please accept our sympathy.

Dear Irene and family- I had the great pleasure of meeting Eugene through working at the Coop. We had some great visits over the phone and I was a lucky recipient of Eugene’s emails, which I will miss! Always a great joke to be shared! I loved Eugene’s stories, especially him telling me of the episode of knocking over Irene’s ironing board covered with fresh made perogies!! Eugene will be missed by so many and I send my deepest condolences.

Please accept our deepest condolences on the loss of Eugene. He was such a sweet man who would always stop to have a visit with us. Michael always enjoyed his visits with him at work and thought very highly of him. Eugene will always be remembered by our daughters as the man who always gave them gum either at church or out on walks. May all your memories bring you smiles, laughter and great stories.

Irene, Sheldon, and family;

I'm very sorry to hear about Eugene's passing. My sincere condolences to all his family and friends at this sad time. He was such a nice and congenial man and will be missed by many. I had some very nice conversations with him when I was living back in the area. I would usually remind him that I graduated with Sheldon - and that I was still a bit sore all those years later that Sheldon beat me as Valedictorian! :-) Eugene will always be remembered warmly by those lucky enough to know him. Love and comfort to his family and friends.

My sincerest condolences. I was saddened to hear of Eugene's passing. I am an aquaintance from our working days at Valleyview Co-op. I worked in the Petroleum Dept at Virden and have missed our telephone conversations, since my retirement. Eugene was always a bright spot in my day. Rest in Peace, my friend. Linda

Sad to hear of Eugene's passing. He was such a great community worker and always willing to pour the coffee and tea at funeral luncheons or banquets. Yes, he could tell you about his garden and loved to chat. His presence will be missed!

Irene and family: Sending our condolences to you all. We are sorry to hear of Eugene’s passing. When I think of Eugene, I think of friendly, loved to chat, always happy to help, loved helping Irene with her Avon business - he always kept everyone updated with the newest order catalogues. Not only did he pass your order on, he delivered it as well. And when I worked with Eugene at the Coop, I got to see another side of Eugene. I saw a very generous, kind, caring side - someone who gave for the joy of giving. In fact, he was so giving, that one time I had brought some of my favorite treats to snack on and what did Eugene do - he passed them around to the customers. After the initial shock, it made me smile cause that’s what he would do if these had been his. I should be so generous! I also enjoyed his Ukrainian accent... .had to listen carefully sometimes and that Dog ( Doug) - caught me every time. So as we say farewell to Eugene, we hope - that over time - the good memories will bring smiles to your lives; as in our hearts, our loved ones live on in those treasured memories.
