Mrs. Florence Kathleen Slessor of Hartney, and formerly of Tilston, passed away at the Hartney Health Centre on Monday, March 14, 2022 at the age of 83.

She was predeceased by her husband, John; parents, Edward & Ella (Burrill) Moir; sister Pearl Hammell; brothers, Chesley Moir and Harvey Moir; sister-in-law, Nellie Slessor; brothers-in-law, Doug Slessor and John Hammell.

Florence is survived by her son, Grant (Susan) of Calgary (grandchildren, Matthew and Katelyn); daughter, Lorna of Killarney; brother-in-law, Gerald “Buck” (Betty) Slessor of Reston and sister-in-law, Sharon Moir of Melita; three nephews, Tom (Pat) of Teulon, Jack (Lynda) of Pierson, Larry (Pat) of Pierson; and niece, Carol (Darcy) Gerow of Souris.  The Slessor family would also like to thank Carol Gerow (Souris) and Manson and Barb Moir (Tilston) for their loving support and care of Mom during her time in Hartney and her final days.

A public graveside service to celebrate Florence’s life was held at the Tilston Cemetery, Tilston, MB. on Friday, September 16, 2022 at 2:00 p.m.
