Georgette "Georgie" (Mahin) Blerot

It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that we announce the passing of Georgette Agnes (Mahin) Blerot on Tuesday, August 20th, 2024 at the age of 89 years.

Georgie, as she was known to all who knew her, passed away peacefully, with family at her side at the Gainsborough Health Centre, Gainsborough, SK. She leaves to mourn her husband of 70 years, Wilfrid, daughter Mona (Doug) Hancock, daughter Rena (Wade) Bevan, son Ray (Karla) Blerot; her grandchildren: Monica Rae (Dave), Lindsay Rae, Danielle Switzer (Matt), Alissa Ramey (Ben), Dylan Blerot (Dianne), Tyler Blerot (Tessa); step-grandchildren: Kodie Hancock (Kate), Karlee Hancock (Anne); her great-grandchildren: Cole (Chelsea), Taris, Darcie, Alix, Hadlie, Crosby, Remy, Lorena, Brandt, Briggs, Valen, Jhace, Layla; step-great-grandchildren: Lucee, Creed, Ari, Knox, Croix; and three great-great-grandchildren: Cauis, Caige and Renley. Also left to mourn her loss are brother Ray (Diane) Mahin, brother and sister-in-law Gerry & Myrna Blerot, sister-in-law Jeanne Blerot, nieces and nephews and many friends.

Georgie was predeceased by her eldest grandson Larrie Rae, an infant grandson, an infant great-grandson, her parents Gilbert & Adrienne Mahin, brothers Marcel & Gabe Mahin, and brother-in-law Fernand Blerot.

Mom's kind heart, gentle spirit and unwavering faith have been an inspiration to her family and all who knew her.

The Funeral Mass was held at St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church, Storthoaks, SK. on Monday, August 26, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Fr. Chris Juchacz as Celebrant and Rev. Fr. Lourdhu Raju Bandhanadam as Co-Celebrant. A private interment (for immediate family) followed at the St. Anthony’s Parish Cemetery and lunch was served in the Parish Hall (lower level).

The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to all who loved Mom through her last difficult few months. The love from her friends and the care and compassion from Cindi and the staff at the Gainsborough Health Centre did not go unnoticed by her or her family.
