To the Haaland, Blackstock, and Scott families;

I'm very sorry for your loss. I always enjoyed Gwen's company, and will miss her smile, wry observations, and dry wit. She was a formidable woman with a huge heart. May she rest in peace.

Love and hugs,
Trevor Black

Dear Kathy, Tami and Doug
I met your Mom, and spent a number of engaging and memorable hours in conversation with her, when I was a student minister at Oxbow's St. Paul's United church. She was a gift to me partly because she wasn't part of the congregation; she offered a rare place for me to "let my hair down". Much of her wisdom shaped who I have become. I am grateful for her support personally and professionally (when she encouraged and supported my application for an ESTARL award - for which I have since encouraged other students in ministry to apply). When I was ordained your mom gave me a stained-glass cross and dove for my office; 16 yrs and 3 churches later, that cross is still in my office window. I think of her personally often, but its symbolism of respectfully engaging people different from me with a genuine heart is my daily guiding light in ministry. Truly my heart and prayers are with you in this time as you celebrate her life and mourn her loss. May rainbows appear through your tears. -Heather

Although I didn't know Gwen well, I did enjoy her Christmas letter each year when Les was still with us. Those ended with Les's passing! However, I know that she will be missed by family and friends. May memories of her sustain you all.
My late husband, Ken Bohrson, spoke highly of her and his cousin Les. In fact, Auntie Martha's estate auction was a hoot, led by Les. Now the three of them will enjoy each other's company
