Hazel Irene Mills 

Hazel Irene Mills beloved mother, grandmother & great grandmother passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 11, 2026 at the age of 100.

Hazel was born May 27, 1926 in Carlyle to Roy & Blanche Jasper. Hazel was predeceased by her husband Stanley Mills, daughter Sharon, son Tommy, sons in law Richard & Dennis and daughter in law Jody.

She is survived by her son Murray (MableAnn Elliott), daughter Iris, as well as seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and extended family members.

Hazel found great joy in collecting antiques and attending many auction sales with husband Stan. She enjoyed old-time music, dancing, knitting and following the Royal British Family for most of her life. One of her fondest memories was being able to see Queen Elizabeth II in Regina - an experience she treasured throughout her life. 

The family would like to thank Moose Mountain Lodge employees for the great care & companionship Hazel enjoyed over the years - she would never turn down a chance to have a visit! Thank you for your dedication to Hazel over the last 8 years as a resident of the Lodge.

A public graveside service will be held at West Carlyle Cemetery on Wednesday, July 29, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Michelle Moore officiating.

In lieu of flowers, if friends desire, memorial donations may be made to the Friends of Moose Mountain Lodge. Mail cheques to Box 10, Carlyle, SK with friends of MML in the memo.
