Mr. Hubert Freitag, loving husband of Audrey, passed away peacefully at the Galloway Health Centre, Oxbow, SK. on Monday, March 7, 2022 at the age of 88.

Hubert married Marilyn (nee Earley) on July 9, 1960. He devoted his life to his family, community, church, Belgian horses and livestock. Hubert and Marilyn had two daughters, Karen Holly (b. 1964) married Norman Bacon (July 9, 1994). Their daughter, Laura Maria was born in 1998. The Bacons reside in Regina. Awaiting him in Heaven is his daughter Susan Maria who passed away in 1987 at the age of 16. Marilyn passed away December 25, 2011. Hubert then married Audrey Bell on January 3, 2014 and became a step-father to her children, Dianne (Jack) Wilson of Carlyle (children, Connie and Jeremy) and Jerry (Cindy) Bell of Regina (children, Travis and Steven). Hubert is survived by his siblings, Hugo (Agnes) Freitag of Regina, Willie (Darlene) Freitag of Arcola, Melvin (Bonnie) Freitag of Carlyle, Gary (Cheryl) Freitag of Regina, Lilly (Edgar) Biberdorf of Munster, Indiana; sisters-in-law: Dolly Freitag of Alameda, Roberta Freitag of Alameda and Audrey Freitag of Victoria; in-laws: Bev (Janet) Earley of London, ON, George (Lynda) Earley of Kerwood, ON, and Bob (Jill) Earley of Grand Bend, ON. Hubert is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and their children, with special nephew, Chris Earley of Rockwood, ON.

Hubert was predeceased by his first wife, Marilyn; daughter, Susan Maria; parents, Rudolf and Maria Freitag; brothers, Henry, Leo (Irene), Paul, Kuno, and Eddie; sister, Emma; brother-in-law, Billie Earley (two years old).

The funeral service was held at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Oxbow, SK. on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Adrian Kramer officiating. Interment at the Alameda Cemetery will take place at a later date.
