Mrs. Ida Scott, late of Oxbow, and formerly of Carlyle, SK. passed away at the Galloway Health Centre, Oxbow on Friday, June 30, 2023 at the age of 86.
Ida was predeceased by her husband, Alvin Scott. She will be forever remembered by her daughter, Brenda (Glen) Miller; grandchildren, Rhiannon (Greg) La Rose (their children, Melky, Griffey and Jackie); and Dylan (Katie) Miller; son, Robert (Wendy) Scott; grandchildren, Erin and Cassidy Scott; brothers, Dwayne (Freda), Brian (Louise) and Emmett; sisters, Laura (Stan), Carol (Cliff), Gladys (Gordon), Bev (Don) and numerous brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
Ida was a family centered woman. She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her world revolved around them. She was always there when needed. Ida was a gifted seamstress and in the past decades has crafted incredible quilts. She continued to golf up until the last months of her life. Golf was something that she loved to do. She worked as a nurse and retired as a home care coordinator, something she was passionate about.
The memorial service for Ida was held at the Carlyle United Church, Carlyle, SK. on Monday, July 10, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. with Mrs. Sandy Dalziel officiating. Urn placement followed at the Glen Morris Cemetery Columbarium, Carlyle, SK.
