Jack was born in Winnipeg and raised by his grandparents, Margaret and William Hart in Napinka, MB along with his older sister Elizabeth (Betty).
Jack was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Bessie Breakwell; his grandparents, Margaret and William Hart; his sister, Elizabeth (Betty) Fisher (Breakwell); nephew, Clay Fisher and numerous aunts and uncles.
Jack is sadly missed by his niece, Fortune Smith (Garry) (passed away May 30/2023). He will be sadly missed by his nieces and nephews: Lorne (Susan), Milo (Cindy deceased), Miles, Candy (Zoltan), Robin (Bob deceased), Rory (Kim), Holly and Monica; as well as his many great nieces and nephews. He will also be sadly missed by his friend Carol.
Jack worked many years as a cook at remote camp sites in northern Manitoba. Once he retired, he moved to Winnipeg so that he could spend time with his family (he always brought Jersey Milk chocolate bars!), mostly with his sister Betty.
Jack was a caring person and helped whoever he could. He donated to many charitable organizations, mostly regarding children in need and people experiencing food insecurity.
Jack was a soft spoken person who always had a smile. When Jack would see you, he always gave a big hug.
A public graveside service will be held at the Napinka Cemetery, Napinka, MB. on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at 1:00 p.m.
