James "Jim" Gilroy

Mr. Jim Gilroy, formerly of Oxbow, beloved husband of the late Ruth (Brandon) Gilroy (d. 2017), father of Darrall and Greg, passed away at the Gainsborough and Area Health Centre, Gainsborough, SK. on Monday, December 28, 2020 at the age of 95.
Jim was born on July 8, 1925 in Oxbow. He served in the Royal Canadian Navy from 1942 - 1945. He married Ruth (Brandon) on February 12, 1949.
He is survived by his two sons, Greg (Laurel) Gilroy of Oxbow and Darrall Gilroy of Alameda. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Leann, Warren, Lynette and their families.
He was predeceased by his parents, Samuel and Alma (Wilson) Gilroy; wife, Ruth; and son, Doug in 2006.
A formal funeral service will not be held. The interment took place at the Alameda Cemetery, Alameda, SK.
