John Valentine Obituary

Passed peacefully at Trillium Health Partners Mississauga Hospital on Monday, July 25, 2022 at the age of 92.

Beloved “hubby” of his late wife Matilda, “Tillie” (nee Klassen), the youngest son of Winnifred and Matthew, brother to Joe, Tom, Nellie, Betty and Winnie. He will be remembered fondly by many nieces and nephews in the UK, Canada and Australia.

John was born in Bolton UK, and worked for Metropolitan Vickers in Manchester before emigrating to Canada in 1960 where he worked on the installation and commissioning of power generators for Canadian utilities. He joined Ontario Hydro in 1970 at Lakeview G.S. where he worked until retirement in 1993.

A Funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Melita, MB at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Fr. Darius Biliran as Celebrant. Interment followed at the Melita Cemetery, Melita, MB.
