John "Jack" Shannon Obituary
Mr. Jack Shannon of Melita passed away at the Willowview Personal Care Home, Reston on Friday, October 21, 2022 at the age of 99.
Jack is survived by seven children: Darryl (Wendy) Shannon, Eunice (Larry) Currie, Frank (Shirley) Shannon, Wanda (Terry) Currie, Sheila (Brian) Boulton, Chris (Penny) Shannon, and Arlene Lew; nineteen grandchildren, forty-one great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Devona (2019); son, Matthew Shannon; grandson, Dallas Shannon; parents, William and Eliza (Gibson) Shannon; sisters, Emily (Hap) Nichols and Margaret (Phil) Buckingham; brother, Don Shannon.
The funeral service for Jack was held at Victoria United Church, Melita, MB. on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Chris Davis officiating. The interment followed at the Melita Cemetery. Jack's casket arrived to the cemetery by horse and wagon.
