Joyce Minshull

To our "Special" Aunt

Joyce was born on the family farm in the Eunola District. She started school with her best friend Isabelle McBane Fairgrieve and they enjoyed a lifelong friendship until the day Joyce passed. She loved her Eunola heritage and enjoyed the Eunola picnics. Walks along the Graham Creek always made her feel at home. Joyce moved to Regina while she was taking her Hairdressing course and then opened a salon at her home in Pierson which she ran for 30 years. Her love of nature was easily transposed onto canvas and she spent hours in her paint studio reproducing the images of her experiences. She loved her yard and spent hours weeding and mowing. In her retirement years, she enjoyed trips to Newfoundland, weeks at Rossman Lake, time at Steinbach and Happy Hours at her house. She kept up on current events, giving an opinion when asked and always tried to see things in a positive way. She could relate to every generation and kept our family connected. Her quiet demeanour was respected and loved in our community and she will be missed more than she would want any credit for.

Joyce is survived by and will be missed by her nieces and nephews: Marvin (Betty) Minshull, Lorrie (Jim) Lee, Rohn Minshull, John (Jane) Minshull, Barry (Margaret) Minshull, Linda Minshull, the late Betty Ann Kirby, Brad (Brenda) Minshull, Barbara (Doug) Korman, Lorraine Crossman, Gary (Gloria) Middleton, Bonnie (Waldo) Neustaedter, Brenda (Terry) Lee, Sandra (Mallo) Clark and all of their respective families.

She was predeceased by her father Arthur Minshull, mother Mary Ann (Moore) Minshull, brothers George (Orma) Minshull and Bill (Berne) Minshull, sister Lyla (Ted) Middleton, niece Betty Anne Kirby, nephew Boyd Minshull, great-niece Marcia Ryzner and great-great-nephew Nate Ryzner.

In keeping with Joyce's wishes cremation will take place and a formal funeral service will not be held.
