Karol Elaine (Opheim) Sloan

Mrs. Karol Sloan of Alameda passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at her residence on Sunday, June 8, 2025 at the age of 78.

Karol was predeceased by her husband Howard; daughter Faye; husband Wayne; parents Lloyd and Hannah Opheim; brother Garry Opheim; and in-laws Jonas and Rose Sloan.

Karol is survived by her son Howard (Kathy) Sloan of Alameda, their children Taylor (Lindsay) Sloan (James, Erica, Bria, Pearl, Rachel) of Alameda; Mason (Kady) Sloan (Heidi, Hazen) of Alameda; Shanise (Brody) Mayer (Aurora, Ayla) of Frobisher.

Her daughter Bonnie (Kevin) Brooks of Storthoaks, children Jonas (Amy) Brooks (Kaden, Tanner) of Oxbow; Shelby Brooks (Jeslyn & Nyla) of Alameda; Kianna (Dakota) Brooks (Olivia) of Storthoaks; Cole (Victoria) Brooks of Alameda and Jake Granger of Storthoaks.

Her daughter Gail (Corey) Sloan of Fort Qu’appelle, children Nick (Kayla) Zerie of Weyburn and Riley (Nikita) Zerie of Weyburn.

She is also survived by her dear friend June McNeil of Oxbow; sister Maxine (Doug) Smith of Swift Current, sister in law Joanne Opheim of Medicine Hat, brother Brian (Millie) Opheim of Hazlet, brother Myles (Patti) Opheim of Wakaw Lake as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

A public graveside funeral service was held at the Alameda Cemetery, Alameda, SK. on Saturday, June 21, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. with Mrs. Sandy Dalziel officiating. A time of fellowship followed at the Royal Canadian Legion in Alameda.
