Growing up next door to the Thomson family was one of life's great treats. I have fond memories of the times spent with Keven, Ron, Doug and Debbie in Melita. Keven taught me more about motorcycles and Neil Young music than anyone I have known. He was funny, and great to be around. And a more honest and generous man you will not find. We have lost a tremendous friend. My condolences to Barb and your family and to all the Thompson family in this difficult time.

Barb and family our sincere condolences on Keven’s passing. He will truly be missed by everyone. I met Kevin in the Waskada oilfield in the early eighties he always worked very hard in every weather condition Mother Nature could dish out . He was very respected and well known . He had a great sense of humour and I always told him he was the only guy I new who could wire anything from 110 volt to lightning . Rest In Peace my friend you will never be forgotten. Owen & Debbie

Message from Doug Filteau
August 11, 2020 1:05 PM

I always enjoyed Keven's sense of humour - he was able to perfect the sound of winter wind through the power lines without making it obvious that he was doing it. If he was sitting behind me in class and was making that sound, it always made me look for an open window in the classroom. Once I figured out it was him, he'd give me a sly grin of acknowledgement. Keven and his brother Doug provided a lot of collective entertainment for the school during our time there. and it definitely helped pass the time and obviously made a memorable difference in my education.

I know this kind and generous guy will be deeply missed by his family and the community.

Travel well, Keven.
