Kimberly Madeline Anne was born November 21st, 1960 in Melita, Manitoba, the eldest child of Edgar and Loretta Breemersch.
She grew up on the family farm with her younger siblings. She had an amazing childhood, spent camping, fishing, and playing cards. She spent many years playing ball and curling with her friends.
She worked in the newspaper business for 35 years and then, started a new path as an administrator in the agriculture sector.
Kim married Ed Vandendorpe on September 26th, 1998. Together, they spent time restoring tractors and trucks, going to auction sales, watching Nascar, and traveling throughout North America and the Caribbean. They made incredible memories on family vacations with their children and grandchildren, including recent trips to Hawaii and a cruise to the Bahamas.
Kim had a beautiful smile and a friendly personality that made her loved by everyone who met her. She always had time for a conversation and a laugh. She made an impact on so many people and will be deeply missed.
She faced leukemia with the same strength and positivity that she did with everything else. She passed away at the Winnipeg Health Sciences Centre on Tuesday, May 4th, 2021.
Kim is survived by her husband, Ed; their three children, their spouses, and four grandchildren: Mandi and Michael Francis - Drake and Ava of Brooklin, Ontario, Amy and Dan Boutin - Addyson and Presley of Sylvan Lake, Alberta, Josh Vandendorpe of Red Deer, Alberta. Lovingly remembered by her Mom, Loretta (Emile); brothers, Brad and Alan (Betty), and very special nephew and niece, Chandler and Sara Breemersch.
She was predeceased by her Dad, Edgar; baby sister, Monica; grandparents, Alex and Madeline Aneca and Jerome and Clara Breemersch.
A private family funeral service was held at Redpath Funeral Home, Melita, MB. on Saturday, May 8, 2021 with Rev. Barb Alston officiating. The interment followed at the Melita Cemetery.
