Linda Elliott Obituary

Mrs. Linda Millican (Harbottle) Elliott (1924–2022) passed away peacefully at the Melita PCH on Friday, December 9, 2022.

Beloved wife of Jack Elliott, Linda is survived by her children: Sharon (Fred) Forster, Wayne (Brenda) Elliott, and Rosalind (Lyn) Brown as well as eight grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.

Linda was born in the Pipestone area to Alec and Agnes Harbottle, the youngest of six children; Arthur (Ann), George (Jean), Russell (Louise), Margaret (Octave) Gabrielle, Cecila Grace, all of whom predeceased her.

Linda grew up and attended school in the Findlay area where her family made a living farming. After her marriage to Jack in 1942, they lived in Pipestone, moving to Melita in 1959 where Jack owned and operated the IHC dealership.

Linda became very involved in many community organizations, always willing with a helping hand and a kind word. Mum has left her family with a treasure of wonderful memories which will be with us always.

A family service to celebrate Linda’s life will be held at a later date with interment at the Melita cemetery.

If friends so desire, donations in Linda’s memory may be made to the Victoria United Church Memorial Fund, Box 159 Melita, MB. R0M 1L0 or to the Diabetes Canada, Brandon (Westman) Branch & District Office, Unit A1 - 800 Rosser Avenue, The Town Centre, Brandon, MB. R7A 6N5.
