Mrs. Lois King passed away peacefully at the Galloway Health Centre, Oxbow on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at the age of 86.
Lois was predeceased by her husband, Gordon in 2011; oldest daughter, Brenda in 2019; grandson, Scott Rubbert in 2009; father, Willard Elliott; mother, Muriel Elliott; oldest sister, Faith; brother-in-law, Ralph Sharpen; oldest brother, Wayne Elliott; sister, Iris and brother-in-law, Dale Decker; youngest sister, Lynne and bother-in-law, Gary Elder; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Robert & Marie King (and first wife, Helen McDonald); brother-in-law, Albert King; brother-in-law, Peter Rohatyn; sister-in law and brother-in-law, Gladys & Lorne Hannah; niece, Myrna Kondrat.
Lois is survived by daughter, Donna (Doug) Cooney; granddaughters, Ashton (Derek) Kish, Kristine (Shawn Bonthoux) and Kelsey; great-grandchildren, Lexi, Lyvia, Oaklen and Brynlee; daughter, Sandra (Dwayne) Batt; grandsons, Braden (Teagan) Batt, Nolan (Juel) Batt; great-grandchildren, Adelyn and Sutton; son, Murray (Angela Furet); grandson, Brett (Christina) Rubbert and great-grandchildren, Colter & Emma. She is also survived by her sister, Sandra Rohatyn; brother, Gary Elliott (Chris); sister-in-law, Faye King; sister-in-law, Edith Elliott; son-in-law, Mederick Lamontagne; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A public funeral service for Lois was held at the Frobisher Union Church, Frobisher, SK. on Thursday, June 5, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. The interment took place at the Oxbow Cemetery.
