Lorraine passed away peacefully at Sunset Haven, Carnduff, on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at the age of 89. She was born on January 27, 1937, the first child of Edward and Edna (Saar) Renard.
Lorraine was predeceased by her beloved husband, Ernie, in 1986; her parents, Edward and Edna; her oldest son, Brad; sister, Shirley Edmondson; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lucy and Elmer Jackson; and Edith and Art Gilliland; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Mike (Denise) of Bienfait, Bryan (Teresa) of Moose Jaw, Kurt (Kim) of Carievale, Elaine (Lorne) of Victoria, BC and daughter-in-law, Maureen of Oxbow. She also leaves to cherish her memory, her grandchildren, Bradley (Michelle), Lindsay, Ashley (Ben), Kylee, Zane, Jake, and Dylan; sister, Irene Dixon; brother, Ken (Trish) Renard; along with many extended family members and friends.
Lorraine’s family was always the center of her life. She was happiest surrounded by visits, conversation, and keeping up with the lives of her children and grandchildren. She will be remembered for her feisty spirit, quick sense of humour, and the quiet but deeply caring heart she carried for those she loved. Her presence will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who knew her.
A public graveside celebration of Lorraine’s life was held at Carievale Cemetery, Carievale, SK., on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at 2:00 pm. Following the service there was a time of refreshments and fellowship at the Carievale Community Hall.
