Mrs. Jean Serruys of Melita, beloved wife of the late Mr. Andy Serruys, passed away peacefully at the Melita Personal Care Home on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at the age of 88.
Jean is survived by her children: Raylene Armstrong, Linda (Barry) Bloomer, Donna Revet (Rod Davies), Wayne (Fran) Serruys, Blaine Stewart, Garry (Kim) Serruys. She was very blessed and proud of her 23 grandchildren, 59 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Laura Klassen and Judy Komar; sisters-in-law, Edna Kirkwood (Ed Billiaert), Christine Serruys (Derek Frost) as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Andy; parents, Andrew and Alice Cocquyt; son, Danny; daughter, Kathy; sons-in-law, Martin Armstrong and Maurice Revet; great-grandchildren, Colby Vanhove and Shayna Barnesky.
A private family service took place at the Melita Cemetery.
