Marjorie Brown
On Friday, June 12, 2026 at the Sunset Haven in Carnduff, our dear mom, grandma, aunt and friend passed from this world at the age of 99. We are comforted with the fact that she lived a long vibrant life and was ready to join loved ones gone before her.
She was predeceased by her parents, Alf and Susie Moore; one brother; four sisters; son, Sid; husband, George; and grandson, Shawn.
Marj was born on October 8, 1926 and was raised on her parent’s farm in the Thunder Creek District and attended Thunder Creek School.
On April 23, 1946, she married George Brown and they lived on the farm near Carievale until they moved into town in 1992 and then to the Sunset Haven in 2011.
She is survived by her brother, Colin; three sons, Jim (Karyn), Bob (Peggy) and John; daughter, Mary; and daughter-in-law, Bette-Lou; eleven grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services are being planned for a later date.
