Mary Margaret (Shier) Brock

Mrs. Mary Brock of Oxbow passed away at her residence on Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at the age of 73.

Mary is survived by her husband of 56 years, Kelvin; two sons, Terry (Tara), Greg (Tamara) and grandchildren, Braden (Sage), Bailey, Meghan (Dawson), Ericka (Cody), Kaiden, Grayson; siblings, Paul Shier, Pat Shier and Jackie (John) Boettcher; sisters-in-law, Bonnie Shier, Marlene Shier, Carla Morrow and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by an infant son, Darcy; parents, Ralph and Jeanne Shier; sister, Carole Stefura; brothers, Bernie Shier and Ken Shier and numerous brothers and sisters-in-law.

In keeping with Mary's wishes a formal funeral service will not be held. The family will celebrate Mary's life privately.

Donations in memory of Mary can be directed to the Bow Valley Villa or the Oxbow Fire Department.

I took his hand when I heard him call,

Ah yes, these things I too will miss

Be not burdened with times of sorrow,

I wish for you the sunshine of tomorrow

My life’s been full, I’ve savored much,

Good friends, good times, my loved one’s touch

If my time seemed all too brief,

Don’t lengthen it now with undue grief

Lift up your heart, rejoice with me,

God wanted me now, He set me free.
