Mary Ching Obituary

Mrs. Mary Ching of Melita passed away at St. Boniface Hospital, Winnipeg on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at the age of 73.

She was predeceased by her parents, Edwin and Sheila Fitch; father and mother in law, Harry and Isobel Ching; brother, Stan Kircher and sister-in-law, Cheryl Scherger.

Mary is survived by her loving and dedicated husband, Richard Ching of 54 years; son, Thomas Ching; daughter, Ricki (Brian) Greig; step-children,  Alan (Angela) Clayton and Jodi (Greg) McLean; grandchildren, Layne (Colten), Shelbi (Cody), Andrew (Brooklyn), Elizabeth (Tom), Cole (Jade), Griffen (Chloe), Matteo, Presley (Allan), Ashlynne and Liam; brother, Rick (Flo) Fitch; sisters, Jenny (Peter) Barr and Kathi (Tim) Rochemont; sister-in-law, Laureen Mathison; as well as numerous nieces,  nephews, and countless close friends.

A service to celebrate Mary’s life was held on Monday, June 29, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Redpath Funeral Home, Melita, MB.

Donations may be given to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, 1379 Kenaston Blvd Winnipeg, MB, R3P 2T5 or to a charity of your choice.
