Mary Elizabeth (Sutcliffe) Forsyth

Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Forsyth of Reston passed away peacefully at the Willowview Personal Care Home on Sunday, March 9, 2025 at the age of 92.

Mary will be lovingly remembered by her son Melvin (Jeanninne) Forsyth, children, Randy (Albina) (their children, Alexandra and Lucas), Sherry Purvis (children, Mathew (Lacey), and their children Weston, Myles, and Spencer; and Eric Purvis), and Kathy Forsyth (Craig Cochrane) (their children, Errol and Natalie); daughter Lorna (George) Milliken, and their son Tanner.  Mary is also survived by John Gonty (Sheila) and family, a big part of her life; step-grandchildren: Crissie Fafard (Dave Sisson) (their children, Joel and Kiara), Tyson (Denise) Gilders, Josh (Rebecca) Gilders (their children, Toby, Sebastian, and Sarika); siblings: Irene Hannem, Joan Williams, Clara Storen, Edna Nixon, Reta Addison, Thelma McEvoy, John Sutcliffe, Lynda Stephenson; and nieces and nephews.

Mary was predeceased by her husband Alex Forsyth, father Hartley Sutcliffe, mother Elizabeth (Pierce) (Sutcliffe) Finney, siblings: Thelma Joan Sutcliffe (infant), Yvonne Rose Sutcliffe and Charles Edward Sutcliffe, and many brothers-in-law.

A celebration of Mary's life was held at the R.E.S. Centre, Reston, MB. on Sunday, March 16, 2025 at 2:00 p.m.
