Mr. Mervin Bateman of Melita, MB. passed away at his residence, the Melita Lodge, on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at the age of 82.
Mervin is survived by his sister, Pat Lepensee (and family) of High Level, AB; brother, Jim (Betty) Bateman (and family) of Zama, AB (sadly, Jim passed away just two days after Mervin on May 15, 2021); sister, Doll (Red) Packard (and family) of Swan Hills, AB; brother, Larry Bateman (and family) of High Level, AB; numerous nieces, nephews, special friends and cousins from Ontario to British Columbia.
He was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Nellie (Wheelans) Bateman; baby brother, Robert; brother-in-law, Art Lepensee; all aunts and uncles on both the Wheelans and Bateman side.
A private family graveside service was held at the Tilston Cemetery, Tilston, MB.
