Neil Murray McIntyre was born April 24, 1946 and passed away at the Regina ICU on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 due to complications from a pneumonia super bug.
Although dad has passed, his life lives on in our memories. Neil worked hard all his life, from the oilpatch to the family farm. He gave everything he had to his family and would always be willing to help anyone he could. He also had a great dry sense of humour, he always said he wanted to be cremated and put into an etch a sketch so that his grandkids could always play with him.
When he as younger he had impulse’s he acted on, from watching a movie at Carnduff theatre, he liked the girls in Florida that were on the movie screen, so he and his buddy jumped in the car and drove to Florida. From wanting a convertible, so he cut the roof off his car.
His patience’s was always a little short, he would let you try to work things out on you for the first 10-20 seconds then he’d come and grab it, quickly do it and then say “it’s an IQ test” and move on to the next project. Working on the farm if you worked to slow and tried to be careful, He’d come along, fix the object in record time and then as he was walking away would say “you watch to many safety commercials”. He loved his gator and would drive around for hours and give his grandkids rides.
So dad, from the hello to the goodbye, thank you for the love, support and the laughter you gave us. Our tears that fall are because of who you are, who you were and who you will forever be in the memories we share. We are forever grateful that we could call you a husband, father, grandpa, and great-grandpa.
Forever loved and remembered by his loving wife of 54 years, Karol; four children: Merilynn (Calvin) Lamport, Nancy (Ken) Plews, Melissa (Rob) Byers, and Brad (Robin) McIntyre; bonus son, Ronald (Alinka) Spijkers; his grandchildren who he was very proud of, Layne, Kayla (Connor) and Cole (Carlee) Lamport.
