Robert "Bob" Allan Lochart

June 26, 1953 ~ May 24, 2021 (age 67) 67 Years Old

With heavy hearts, we announce the sudden passing of Robert (Bob) Allan Lochart at the Regina General Hospital on Monday, May 24, 2021 at the age of 67.

Bob was born in Oxbow, SK on June 26, 1953, to parents Fern (Sloan) Lochart and William Lochart. His six siblings were Douglas, Donald, Ricky, Randy, Linda and Carla.

Throughout his childhood, he loved playing baseball, hockey, and curling, as well as to participate in 4-H.

On August 1, 1970, Bob married the love of his life, Evelyn (Wigton) Lochart. The two shared a beautiful life together on a farm outside of Alameda, where they proudly raised their three children, Tracey, Becky and Luke.

Later in life, Bob became a grandpa to eight grandkids, including Danielle, Dawn, Bryce, Jordan, Baylee, Megan, Kole, and Ivy.

Bob loved cheering on both his kids and grandkids at their sporting events. Rain or shine, he would almost never miss a ball game.

Bob’s passion and idea of fun was working on his farm. He was great at fixing things, and was always busy with a project. He and Luke repaired a lot of machinery together – tractors, combines...you name it. He also loved music, western films, and teasing his family and friends.

Over the years Bob found an interest in technical gadgets, and could often be found working on the computer printing off old photographs. He believed it was important to preserve family history, and loved sharing stories about his family’s past.

Bob will be remembered by many in their own ways, and was a true cowboy at heart. Bob’s family will forever cherish the memories they made spending time out on the farm with him.

Bob touched the hearts of all who knew him, and will be missed dearly by his family, friends and the community. His big grin, moustache, and contagious giggle will never be forgotten.

Bob is survived by his wife, Evelyn; two daughters, Tracey (Lindsay) Gibson and Becky Walker; son, Luke (Crystal) Lochart; eight grandchildren, Danielle Gibson (Wesley), Dawn Gibson (Alex), Bryce Gibson, Jordan Walker (Jay), Baylee Walker (Heath), Megan Lochart, Kole Lochart and Ivy Lochart; brothers, Rick Lochart and Randy (Nico) Lochart.

He was predeceased by his parents, William and Fern (Sloan) Lochart; twin brothers, Doug and Donald Lochart; sisters, Linda and Carla Lochart.

A celebration of life will be held as a private family gathering at the Alameda Cemetery at a later date.

Donations in memory of Bob can be directed to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan, 1738 Quebec Ave. #26, Saskatoon, SK. S7K 1V9.
