Ronald Rossow passed away peacefully on Monday, April 6, 2026. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, whose kindness and steady presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Ronald shared 55 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Barbara. Together, they built a life rooted in love, commitment, and family, raising children who were his greatest pride and joy.
In 1976, Ronald moved to the family farm, where he found great joy in working alongside his father and brother. Ronald and his brother Murray continued farming together for over 40 years, creating a lasting legacy of hard work and dedication.
He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara; his children, R.J. (Allison), Curtis (Karin) and Crystal (Collin); and their adopted daughter, Jalyn (Mark). He will be fondly remembered by his cherished grandchildren: Ashley, Adam, Alyssa, Laurae, Jordan, Carter (Arianna) and Marshall (Molly), and by his great-grandchildren, Greyson and Jaxx, who brought him immense joy in his later years.
Ronald is also survived by his brother, Murray (Nola), with whom he shared a close and special bond; his brothers-in-law, Bob, Lloyd and Bill (Barb); and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, Katherine and Rudy; his father-in-law, Raymond and mother-in-law, Mary; and his sisters-in-law, Dorothy (Bud), Evelyne (Len), Margaret, Edythe, Judy, and Karol (Neil).
Ronald was deeply committed to his community. He served on the Villa Board and Town Council, was a proud member of the Lions Club, and dedicated 47 years of his career to the oil and gas industry before retiring.
Ronald will be remembered for his warmth, generosity, and unwavering dedication to his family, his farm, and his community. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
The funeral service for Ronald was held at the Glen Ewen Communiplex, Glen Ewen, SK. on Friday, April 10, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Kathy Kyle officiating. The interment followed at the Glen Ewen Cemetery.
