It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Roy Laurence Shay at the Galloway Health Centre, Oxbow, SK. on Sunday, February 2, 2020 at the age of 96.
Roy was born on September 14, 1923 in Oxbow, SK. to Ralph and Alice (Dreher) Shay.
He is survived by his wife, Edna Shay; son, Grant (Joanne) Shay and their children, Kelsey (Real) Regnier (children, Maycen and Rylan), Erin (Dillon) Dunbar (their son, Jaxon), and Kaitlyn Shay (her daughter, Everley); daughter, Janet Shay (Mike Alexander) and children, Jenn (Corey) Sawchyn (their daughter, Avery), Scott (Jenelle) Glasser (children, Ellie and Harrison), and Jana Alexander (children, Hayley, Shay, and Evan); numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was predeceased by his parents, Ralph and Alice Shay; brothers and sisters-in-law, Alan and Dorothy Shay, Jack and Bev Shay; sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Keith Riddell.
A private family graveside service was held at the Oxbow Cemetery on Saturday, July 11, 2020.
