Shelley Anne (Hitchcock) Vail

Mrs. Shelley Vail of Carlyle passed away peacefully at the Arcola Health Centre on Saturday, April 18, 2026 at the age of 66.

Shelley is survived by her husband, Kenneth Vail; son, Adam (Zaneta) and their daughter, Ava; son, Jordan (Lindsey) and children, Carter, Payton, Damien (Cheyenne) and children, David and Marshal; daughter, Kamala (Miklos) Odea-Bocsik (nee Watson) and children, Zechariah and Zoeanna; sister, Karen (Doug) Howden and their son, David and Karen's daughter, Karri and her three children, Kanin, Kennedy and Khala; brother, Ward (Shannon) Hitchcock and children, Jenna (Andre) and their children, Samantha and Henry, Cody (Jenny) and their children, Ella, Benjamin, Brooke and Cameron, and Kaitlyn (Ahmad) and Nya.

She was predeceased by her parents, Stewart and Rose (Hanover) Hitchcock, and an infant sister in 1956.

A time of viewing and visitation for family and friends was held at the Wawota Free Methodist Church, Wawota, SK, on Friday, May 1, 2026 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

The funeral service for Shelley was held at the Wawota Free Methodist Church on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastors Dave and Krista Meisner and Pastor Beverly Kay officiating. A lunch followed in the Cannington Room at the church. 

A private family interment was held at the Maryfield Cemetery, Maryfield, SK.
